How Do You Know Whether You Are in Love?

How Do You Know Whether You Are in Love?

Love is that elusive emotion that every single person is looking for and never really sure where or how to find it. Love is the subject and inspiration of countless books, movies, songs etc. Thus, there is little wonder that most people are fascinated by that concept and want to experience that heavenly feeling at least once in their lives. However, because of the grandiosity and magnanimity that the feeling of love has acquired in our culture, people, whether single or in relationships, are often left wondering whether they’ve experienced it before. How can you know for sure whether what you feel is love? What if it’s not love and merely affection or fondness or simply a very warm friendship?

However, do not despair. Love is just around the corner for most of us and can envelop your heart when you least expect it. Like all other emotions, love is simple and straightforward. It might seem hard to get when you don’t have it, but when it happens to you, you’ll know you’ve found the right thing.  There are all kinds of couples in the world. There are the kind of couples that share interests and views and in general, agree with each other on everything and find comfort and satisfaction in that agreement. There are the couples that make the rest of the world wonder why they’re with each other, since they couldn’t be any more different from each other. This proves that love is an emotion and there are no rules or laws saying that you cannot be happy with the person you love. When love happens, be open-minded to accept it. You will find the happiness that you’re looking for.

“Made for each other” is simply a couple very much in love. You’ll find that when you’re in love, you will feel that your partner is the person just made for you and your partner will feel the same about you. As a couple, you will learn to appreciate, accept and support each other in a way that no third person can. You will come to feel secure and happy in the knowledge that your partner has made you as their number one priority. As you get to know each other, you will understand each other well. This makes you feel that the other person is indeed made for you. Hold on to that feeling when you find it. Love is easiest to find when you’re not looking for it.

Everyone can find love. It’s a simple emotion that is meant to be experienced by every human being. The best thing you can do to look for it is to be open-minded to all possibilities and remember that love comes in all shapes and sizes. It may occur unexpectedly at any point in your life and cannot be planned or premeditated. You should realize that your “made for each other” partner is out there and you would be pleasantly surprised when you find him or her.

Communication Tips for a Healthy Relationship

Communication Tips for a Healthy Relationship

As a human being, we are social in nature and we interact with each other every day. Friendships and close relationships are essential for our happiness and good emotional health. For any good relationships, having good communication skills are necessary. How we present ourselves and how we speak to others will have a direct impact on our relationship with them. Managing those myriad of relationships around us and nurturing them, is not an easy task. Developing good communication can without doubt leave a positive impact on us as well as those around us.

One of the first pre-requisite for developing good communication skills is to have patience and show the ability to listen. We need to care and show interest as well as genuine concern for the thoughts, feelings and concerns of others. Always give thought to what effect your words will have on the other. What you say and how you deliver those words has a direct impact on the other person

For instance, if your spouse comes home very late, instead of saying “You” are always coming home late, you can always say, “I” feel very lonely while you are away. Shifting the focus on your own self removes more than half the grudge in the conversation. Just imagine, if you had used those words the other way round. All it would have ended would be in a bitter conversation. This is a clear indication as to how the flow of conversation should be. Both parties can work better in a peaceful atmosphere and reach the best solutions. Use of the “I” messages is much more effective as the other person does not feel cornered. This only builds more faith and trust in the relation and reveals that the other person is willing to take responsibility for his or her feelings.

The “you” messages could be used but only to praise others and deliver positive feelings. Some good examples are “You” are looking good or I like the way “you” smile. These little changes and conscious implications can do just wonders in improving your communication as well as your relationship with your loved ones. In case your spouse is not able to handle their feelings and is in the habit of throwing “you” messages at you in a negative way, you can still improve the situation, by using “I” messages. For example you can say, “I” get very anxious when you speak to me in this manner.

Just understand the basics and importance of conversation to influence your relationships and build them positively. You should learn the use of the right words at the right time. Gradually you will see a whale of difference within you as well as the people around you. You will find them respecting you more and will also have a good feeling while having them around you. As they say, the foundation of a strong relationship lies in those words and how you use them. Improve your communication skills and experience better interactions and a greater harmony in relationships.

You need to spend time with your loved one to let the relationship become stronger. How to find the time in such a hectic and busy schedule? There are endless daily chores, work, other responsibilities, bills to pay and shopping to do. And even if you find some time in-between, you may find your timetable colluding. Well, having said, it is you to make time for your love and to find love in the fast lane. Here are some useful tips that will help you out in finding the time for your love.

Remember the Birthday
Even if you can’t be there with her or him on their birthday, send a loving message or a card. In these fast paced times, it is getting common and boring to send e-cards as there is nothing personal about them. It would be a wonderful idea and really romantic to write a love letter in the card and express your feelings.

Celebrate successes together
Whether it is your promotion or your partner’s success, make it a point to celebrate it together and enjoy their success as yours.

Talk at the end of the day
No matter how tired or busy your day had been; always talk to each other on phone or via chat for some time at the end of the day. Reflect on the highlights and lowlights of the day with each other. This will keep both of you closer.

Show that you are impressed
Even if it is a small accomplishment, congratulate your partner and express your proud feelings for their success, but be genuine. Feel free to say that you are really proud and it is really precious to have him or her in your life.

Go out and spend time together
You need to go out occasionally and do anything that you would like to do together. It could be going to a favorite restaurant or watching a movie or even taking a little walk. When you are together you could even discuss about a book or an experience.

Send compliments
Be liberal with your compliments and don’t miss an opportunity to say how you feel. You can send them a message or tell them on the phone. Every body likes to have compliments as they are great mood boosters.

Be Thoughtful
Doing little things and thoughtful gestures can make your partner fall head over heels for you. This is a lovely way to express how much you care for your partner and to show that they have your support for life.

It is all about sharing little things and communicating effectively, that can keep the love alive between the two of you. Even if you two are not physically close, your feelings for each other will continue to grow stronger. Even in the fast lane you would be able to accomplish all that you wanted.

Show Your Partner that You Love Them

Show Your Partner that You Love Them

You love your partner, but, have you ever paused and wondered if you are expressing your feelings enough. He or she may be well aware of your true feelings for them but everybody needs love and appreciation at times. They need to be told vocally and shown visibly that they are loved, wanted and respected in the family. Otherwise these feelings of appreciation just get lost in the humdrum of daily life. Bring a fresh air in your relationship and be more expressive about your feelings for your partner. This will breathe a new life in the relationship between the two of you.

Well, there could be hundreds of ways to make the other appreciated. It could be a casual remark that you are looking great today or I can’t wait to be with you. You make the best meals or I just couldn’t move on in life without you. These are simple words but can really weave magic in the relationship. Being expressive and a little vocal about your relationship will do no harm but only make the bond stronger. It will bring the two of you closer and spread a good feeling around.

Another good way is just to smile at each other. This also spreads some good cheer around. Always keep in mind that actions often speak louder than words. For example, you can make breakfast and have it together in bed. Just do something that will bring a big smile on the face of your partner. Be honest about your feeling with your partner. If you don’t like the dress she or he is wearing, tell them and show them that you want them to look their best. But be very gracious and convey the feelings without hurting them.

When saying good bye, give them a hug and make them feel that they are wanted. Make some special time for just you and your partner, with no family or friends around. This will make each one of you special. You will feel being the best couple and are made for each other. But you need to make efforts to make the relationship stronger, show love for each other and understand each other. For example, your partner may not be in the best of their moods all the time. You need to understand and respect their feelings. And make some efforts to cheer them up. Make him or her feel that you are always there for them.

Also keep in mind that there is no need to be miser with your feelings or words. In fact, we should be very careful when choosing our words to criticize or blame. Those words that make your partner feel good should be repeated often and those that only hurt should be avoided Show your partner that you love and care for them and be thankful that they are there for you.

Indian Matrimonial Relationship – Respect And Honor

Indian Matrimonial Relationship - Respect And Honor

Since time immemorial, honor and respect have been two very important part of our Indian culture. Men have been known to respect and care for the women while women treat their men with respect and look after them. There is no doubt that the Indian culture has had it share of influence from the west, but still some values are deep in our culture and cannot be overlooked.

When you search for a potential partner, keep in mind that respect and honor should be a part of every relationship. Every move you make will be carefully observed by your potential partner. Hence, you should try to create a positive impact on your partner and make sure that they receive the love and respect they deserve from your relationship.

Leave a positive impression:
Listen to your partner, be polite and patient. Try to be on your best behavior and be all ears to what the other person has to say.

Give respect and gain respect:
Please keep in mind that if you like respect and love from your partner, you should not hold it back either. So, share your love and respect for your partner when you are together.

Give each other some space:
Even in a close relationship, every individual needs to have his or her space. Dominating your partner may frighten them about the relationship and they may jump to wrong conclusions. So please provide a comfortable zone for your partner and let them be comfortable around you.

Live in reality:
Don’t have over expectations from your relationship. Believe in giving rather than what you are getting from it.  When you look at it from a real perspective, you would have a satisfactory outcome.

Watch what you say:
There will be situations where one or both partners might be furious about something. During this time, it is the role of both partners to let the storm pass away before doing or saying anything. Once the situation calms down, both of you would be in a much better position to converse. Reacting with sarcastic remarks can only anger the other and you lose your respect too.

Honor and respect shows in our actions. Respect should spring from deep inside our heart and should flow naturally. It can never be commanded. There is always a bit of crossover between love and respect in a healthy relationship.

If one of the partner is feeling less respected or taken for granted, then it is time to rethink over certain aspects. If you think your partner is not giving you the love or respect you deserve, then perhaps it is time to move on, irrespective of what the other person may think or believe. In a nutshell, it is you, your partner and your relationship that matters. If you are happy together and enjoy each other’s company then there is nothing to worry about. Keep in mind that respect and honor are the pillars in any relationship.
